This ABC Radio interview explores the fastest growing cohort of homelessness – older women. 100 Families WA Community Advisory Group member Wendy Morris outlines the impacts of housing insecurity and the ever growing numbers joining the peer support group she runs.

When discussing collaboration and leadership, Lin said:
“In the face of complexity you can be as clever as you like but the only thing that’s gonna help humans solve complex, wicked problems is collaboration. And that is collaboration across organisations and across sectors”.
As Lin rightly points out, “there is a gap between the knowing and the doing”. 100 Families WA aims to help close this gap over the next 12 months and drive knowledge into the places its needs to be and work with the people who can help create change.
Renna, who is a member of the 100 Families WA community advisory group, spoke to The West Australian on the weekend about the need for more government investment in early-intervention supports to prevent people from going into crisis like she did.
A study of 100 low-income families in WA has found its participants were twice as likely than the general population to experience financial distress, depression and anxiety during the pandemic.
